DIY Cold and Flu Care Basket: How to Get & Organize 9 Home Remedies
Cold & Flu Basket
A few years ago, I started keeping all of our cold and flu supplies in a basket all together, near our other medicines but in their own basket. This has proven so helpful - whenever someone gets cold symptoms, we can grab that basket from the cabinet and keep it easily accessible on the kitchen counter for the duration of the cold.
Here’s what we keep in our basket:
Vomit bags (ugh, but also genius)
Forehead cooling pads (thanks for the suggestion, Donna Lee!)
Throat spray (thanks for the rec, Ron!)
Cold Away and Yin Chao to take when symptoms start (thanks for the rec, Jenny!)
Saline nasal spray (this video from an ER doc explains how helpful this stuff is)
This list of things to remember to do when you’re sick (click “Use Template” to make yourself a copy). I keep a copy printed in a sheet protector in my cold and flu basket to help me do the things I need to do when I'm too sick to remember what the things are.
