Family Easter Activity Ideas
Our family very much enjoys holiday activity countdowns (see our Valentine's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas countdowns), and so it's been on my list for a few weeks to finish one up for Easter.
I've included the more traditional activities (like dying eggs and an egg hunt) as well as some that will be new for us (like making a plastic egg sculpture with glue dots and creating a collage with the leftover dyed eggshells). I have also, as always, built in easy activities for days when doing something involved is just not going to happen (like reading these two Easter-themed books before bed).
Check out the countdown for ideas for your family and links to the materials you'll need. If you'd like to do a countdown like us, the idea is simple: you choose activities you like from this document and print the pages. Stick them into envelopes and open one per day leading up until Easter. You can make the countdown as short (3 days, for example) or long as you want. The document I created has 9 ideas, so there are plenty from which to choose. It's fully editable, as well, so feel free to add your own.
